American Advertising Federation honors Tampa art director with national award.

TAMPA, FL—Kate Whatley, the current President of the Ad 2 Tampa Bay chapter of the American Advertising Federation, has been named “Ad 2 President of the Year” by the national organization. The personal award was icing on the cake for Kate as the Ad 2 Tampa Bay chapter also won the prestigious “Club of the Year” award.

Ad 2 Tampa Bay is a local chapter of the American Advertising Federation’s “Ad 2” Young Professionals division, with membership limited to persons 32 years of age or younger. Twenty-five chapters are spread throughout the country, in such cities as Miami, Minneapolis and San Francisco among others.

Kate is an art director with PeakBiety branding + advertising located in downtown Tampa. Kate, a native of Conneticut, is a graduate of the International Academy of Design and Technology and has worked in the advertising world for over seven years. She also is currently serving on the Academy’s Advertising and Graphic Design Curriculum Advisory boards.
